Guided Install Failed at Select and Install Software

Affects: Lubuntu precise-alternate-powerpc.iso 20120310.

Guided, resize install on iMac G3 400 Mhz fails at "Select and Install Software:
same Guided, resize install on ibook G4 800 Mhz fails at "Select and Install Software

Fails on two computers, two different CDs.

This is a critical bug as we already know the live CD install doesn't work on the G3 iMacs.
Getting the alternate to work is important.
The alternate has worked fine in the past, this is the first time it has failed for me, 20120310.
