system slows down

while installing packages with ubuntu software-center, the system enormously slows down. Nearly impossible to work, must wait end installation

I give up testing the today (2012-03-08) edubuntu build: it's definitely too too slow. impossible touse it.

I also get this on the 12.04 beta - Software center installs can cause extreme lag of the system, and update manager does sometimes too..
