Bug Description

I am using MacBook 5,1.
I was using Ubuntu 11.10 alphas and betas, and they were installing with no problem on pendrive, then booting GRUB2 EFI and OS normally started as live session.
But now it does not display in Mac boot menu(when holding ALT at boot).
However when I plug it in BIOS system it boots normal.

Does ISO generation process change in 11.10 final? Maybe I am missing something?
I tried precise daily's, same thing.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

Re-assigned to Ubuntu CD Images, as the reporter was DD'ing the ISO, so this isn't a problem with USB Creator

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and suggest that your MBP8,2 might work just fine with a normal amd64 ISO, and doesn't actually have the bug(s) the amd64+mac ISO is attempting to work around. Could you give that a whirl, Lars?
