I've built packages with the proposed patch, but the testcase still fails for me. I'm testing by doing:

Sorry, I should have provided a test-case - I'm not sure those upstream bugs are related. To reproduce, simply call either either networkIsActive or networkIsPersistent from the libvirt library...

I have verified that the lucid-proposed package resolves the problem reported here, do not currently have access to a maverick install, however will build and test if required.
