Missing "Volume" suffix on "Mic Boost"

Bug Description

If the "Volume" suffix is not given, alsa-lib gets confused and
loses the dB information at the simple element level.

Boosts generally affects both playback and capture, as they are
applied early in the chain. Hence no "Playback" or "Capture" in
the suffix.

Please do not triage this bug, it's being taken care of. Thanks.

This one is very intrusive, I think we should get buy in from upstream before committing to this change. Could we not just add Mic Boost to the list of 'volume' elements?

It'll be in 2.6.38, so no action is required from the Ubuntu kernel team. This bug is for tracking mostly.

I'm not sure what you mean with "list of volume elements", but if you're talking about the PulseAudio paths, that's too high in the stack, as the information is lost at the alsa-lib level.
