Bug Description

This bug is to track the state of using a pv-ops kernel on EC2 for Maverick.

Currently the Maverick kernel when built with pv-ops and legacy patching can be run on 3 out of 4 EC2 zone in us-east-1.

I have placed test kernels that work in all zones

kernel.ubuntu.com/~jj/linux-image-2.6.35-12-virtual_2.6.35-12.17~pvops_amd64.deb
kernel.ubuntu.com/~jj/linux-image-2.6.35-12-virtual_2.6.35-12.17~pvops_i386.deb

These can be installed into ebs backed instances, and booted with editing of /boot/grub/menu.lst

maverick alpha-3 release used the pv-ops kernel (-virtual) and successfully tested.
