Bug Description

Adding a working 802.3ad bonded interface to a bridge renders it unusable. All lacp control packets seems to be dropped silently.

This was fixed in the intrepid kernel, here is the git commit:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/ubuntu-intrepid.git;a=commitdiff;h=43aa1920117801fe9ae3d1fad886b62511e09bee

I built a kernel from the 2.6.24-26.64 sources with the patch mentionned from git and it solves the problem.

SRU Justification

Impact: Bonded network segments with STP enabled don't work
Patch Description: Process all 802.3d packets regardless if STP is enabled on the bridge.
Patch: attached upstream patch

Closing the actively developed Lucid task as this seems to be a Hardy specific SRU request in which the nomination is already open.

Accepted linux into hardy-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!
