Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 1933616

ie. try and boot the daily again on the same box, open a terminal (konsole) and run apport-collect (try kubuntu is fine).

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

Thank you for helping make Kubuntu better :)

Thanks for your support Chris.
I am eager to participate but my skill level is low and I have found it hard to find and follow instructions that are relevant and up to date.
I will follow your instruction and report back shortly.

Further to your instruction, above, should I have originally typed, in this case,

'ubuntu-bug initramfs-tools'

in a terminal from 'Try Kubuntu'?

I hope to understand the process better, after all it's no good testing if I can't make a proper bug report.

I will study the content you mentioned at:

After upgrade of testing Kubuntu Impish to version 21100626 this bug is crushed and installation of iso proceeds successfully.

Changed in casper (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released

If you'd filed the bug using `ubuntu-bug initramfs-tools` that would have made apport collect all detail & upload the details to launchpad, then tried to open `firefox` to allow you to login & provide additional details (who you are, describe bug etc that you did online).

The `apport-collect` is just the process that `ubuntu-bug` would have performed; it builds the info & uploads to an already existing bug report (as long as you login & you are the reporter of that bug).

ubuntu-bug is part of the apport tools.

I see, thanks Chris. I understand a little better now.
By the way, I hope it was okay for me to change the bug 'Status' to 'Fix Released', it did seem appropriate.
