Software Updater crash - fails to update

Bug Description
After installation and reboot of Ubuntu Hirsute 29.12.2020 daily ISO http://
running "Software Updater" results in error message "The application Software Updater has closed unexpectedly" and then a dialog box appears with the message "problem already known...This problem already
reported in the bug report displayed in the web browser. (see attached screenshot).
However browser was open at the moment and no addition info was displayed.
Tested on Acer Aspire E3-111 running in UEFI + secure boot mode.

Ran another test - this time in VirtualBox on another machine - InWin BL641 i5-10400,32GB,Intel UHD Graphics 630,Ethernet,Intel 660p 512GB M.2 NVMe hd with the same result.
