Bug Description

I tried to do a test installation of Ubuntu Kylin daily 2019-10-15 in virtualbox, but only boot into black screen after a while whether choose "Try Ubuntu Kylin without installing" or "Install Ubuntu Kylin".

The last image that can be started normally I tested is daily 2019-10-10, and after that I just update locally.

Sorry I have no idea about this and even didn't got a chance to fetch the logs.

If I allocate 4G ram, then the install progress seems normal, but I found that ld-2.23.so occupies 93% CPU. And locate show it's /snap/core/7917/lib/*/ld-2.23.so

I don't think this is related to snapd. Keeping the Kylin task open but removed the snapd task.

no longer affects: snapd (Ubuntu)

Also I found that plymouth didn't quit after login. Not sure if there is any connection.

It is probably useful to investigate, but we anyway currently set the recommended minimum RAM requirements to 4G [1]. So currently this doesn't seem release critical at least.

The core snap was updated earlier this week, and given handsome_feng's discovery of an ld-2.23.do process out of control (which is xenial's ld.so), I'm inclined to want to look in that direction.

I suspect the last caper upload before the release fixed some of the complaints here, as does using a VM with more RAM, so closing.
