brisk-menu crashes but starts again after reload prompt

Bug Description

Found several times during ISO testing.

The brisk menu will crash but successfully restart after a prompt to reload.

I *think* that selecting Graphics and then Shotwell, immediately after starting a session, is enough to cause the crash.
