xubuntu 19.10 daily (Wed 09 Oct 2019 ) is stuck on install

Installer is stuck with spinning wheel after clicking CONTINUE at the "Updates and other software" screen.

QA-install, full disk ; both download updates & install 3rd party selected, then CONTINUE..

It's been stuck at screen maybe an hour.

Box - hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 5gb, nvidia quadro nvs 290)

fyi: "Check disc for defects" passed prior to install; I'll re-do check & try again.
Box was used for multiple Lubuntu installs yesterday without issue.

I've done 2x installs using Xubuntu 19.10 (2019-10-12)

I don't remember this bug report at all; but the "Install (entire disk with lvm and encryption) in Xubuntu Desktop amd64 in Eoan Daily" install done only a little while ago should satisfy the issue no longer applies.

If you want a standard install; please let me know (I did those Xubuntu installs as they hadn't been done; I didn't recall this problem but it'd be 15+ installs ago)

"Install (entire disk) in Xubuntu Desktop amd64 in Eoan Daily" completed without issue using 2019-10-12 (daily/final) -- identical install testcase & same box
