Bug Description

Fresh 64bit 18.04 Ubuntu install

turned on location services in Settings - Privacy, logged out and logged in.

Open Maps. The map didn't show my location - just stayed blue.

So I entered my town and pressed return - selected my town from the popover list.

In the terminal I saw:

(org.gnome.Maps:5022): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 12:02:04.270: g_value_set_boolean: assertion 'G_VALUE_HOLDS_BOOLEAN (value)' failed

** (org.gnome.Maps:5022): WARNING **: 12:02:04.271: XEP attribute 'viewbox' unhandled

** (org.gnome.Maps:5022): WARNING **: 12:02:04.271: XEP attribute 'bounded' unhandled

So next I selected another entry in the popover and I saw the following:

(org.gnome.Maps:5022): Gjs-WARNING **: 12:04:36.580: JS ERROR: Error: Argument 'actor' (type interface) may not be null
_init@resource:///org/gnome/Maps/js/placeMarker.js:33:9

run@resource:///org/gnome/gjs/modules/package.js:225:12
start@resource:///org/gnome/gjs/modules/package.js:209:5
@/usr/bin/gnome-maps:2:1

Again - the map of the chosen location was not shown.

similar issue on a live-session - maps does not seem to function. In this case I did not fiddle with location services
