Can't start screen reader with Ctrl+S and Alt+Super+S

Bug Description

Latest Ubuntu MATE 18.04 daily build don't allow me to use these shortcuts to start screen reader from VM. The only combination that is reserved for VM (to release pointer) is Ctrl+Alt.

I don't understand what your problem is because your bug report is not enough explicit for me.

Do you mean that your VM program doesn't allow you to press alt+super+s or do you mean that you're no longer able to do alt+super+s since 18.04 ?

I think that Marcin wanted to point out that it's not the VM's fault, because the only key combination that is reserved for it is Ctrl + Alt, so Alt + Super + S/Ctrl + S should work.

If my understanding is correct, then I can partially confirm this issue. Screen reader hotkey doesn't work on the welcome screen (this with "Try Ubuntu Mate" and "Install Ubuntu Mate" options). It works properly in the live session though, so I can open the live session, press Alt + Super + S, and continue the installation with the screen reader.
By the way, this bug also affects Ubuntu.

Alex, I meant that I can’t use this shortcut on Ubuntu MATE 18.04 and it’s not VM’s fault, as Konrad said.
