Bug Description

While installing Kubuntu 18.04 alongside another operating system, I faced a critical bug and the installation did not allow me to do so. There was no Option such as Install Kubuntu XX.XX alongside SYSTEM YY as Step 5 said: "Select Install Kubuntu XX.XX alongside SYSTEM YY
(SYSTEM YY is the name of the system already installed on disk (Kubuntu 12.04, Windows 7, ...)"
(refer to the screenshot attached for more information)

I would guess that maybe since you do not have sufficient disk size on your Virtualbox VM (you have only 10GB) to permit a successful side by side installation, so ubiquity quite rightly does not offer that as an installation option.

Screenshot showing that where the target disk is large enough and has sufficient space, the option to resize another partition/OS to install alongside is offered

From the perspective of the ubuntu-manual-tests, though, some rewording may be in order, not only in terms of different and maybe less specific wording (look at your screenshot, Rik: it does not say "Install Kubuntu 18.04 alongside Ubuntu 17.04" even though all that information is there) but also the requirement for the target disk being large enough and exactly what that means.

Question is: I've only seen this reported against Lubuntu Next and Kubuntu, both Qt. Is this specific to Qt?

Could be that the Qt/KDE ubiquity front end needs some syncing with the main ubuntu one in the way things are presented
