right click is being treated as left click

Bug Description

When i right click on anything on my trackpad on a icon in the munity layout or in Firefox to copy text i selected it does what a left click would do and the left click works as expected. I'm running Ubuntu Mate 17.10. Attached is my hardware information.

A workaround for this issue is installing Synaptic driver as described in comments to following bug:

That solved my problem, should be default in 17.10 and above.

This issue is fixed in Ubuntu MATE 18.04 daily.
