In the cxl driver, the psl_fir_cntl register is set to the recommended value for a lab environment. This should be converted to use the recommended setting for a production environment.

setting of the psl_fir_cntl can be accessed through

Fix is in powerpc maintainer's tree and will find its way in 4.8-rc2;
cxl: Set psl_fir_cntl to production environment value

However, though simple, the upstream patch won't apply cleanly to the Xenial tree due to other patches merged in 4.8. So I'm attaching a version of the patch which applies on Xenial
