I confirm this situation also on i686. The cman packages containing /etc/default/cman file and /etc/init.d/cman. The attached patch works for me.

None of the options in /etc/default/cman is used in /etc/init.d/cman. Maybe the real fix would be removing /etc/default/cman?

I think, the /etc/default/cman configuration file ist usefull, because I can change the CLUSTER_JOIN_TIMEOUT parameter without modifying the /etc/init.d/cman file.

Herbert Straub (herbert) wrote :

The configuration file /etc/default/cman is an equivalent on Redhat systems to: etc/sysconfig/cman. Ante Karamatić, you are right. The combination of init.d and default are not up to date. I attache two patches to fix this situation.

To get a SRU published a test case needs to be added to the bug description as outlined in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates.

As for the debdiff, it should be based against the latest version published in hardy and should be targeted to hardy-proposed instead of hardy.

Unsubscribing the sponsor team for now. Resubscribe once this bug has all the information needed for a SRU (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates).
