Ubuntu Vivid Vervet beta2 guest does not boot to Unity from QEMU-KVM host

I was testing Vivid Vervet beta2 (Ubuntu 15.04 _Vivid Vervet_ - Beta i386 (20150326), MD5SUM e838edda85712d283bd94b34dbb5d6ec) in QEMU KVM from Ubuntu 12.04.5 amd64 host ( "sudo kvm -m 1536 -hda /dev/sdd -net nic -net user,hostfwd=tcp::10022-:22"),
but it does not start in graphic ("Try Ubuntu without installing" Unity) LiveCD mode.

I got logs while logging to the qemu-kvm guest via ssh.
The LiveCD works as expected only when selecting "Install Ubuntu" option.

Please fix this bug before final release.

the default should not be cirrus logic though, change the gfx device to QXL and try again

Dear Timo!
Sometimes Vivid guest boots to "Install (as superuser)" window with two buttons "Try Ubuntu" and "Install Ubuntu".
If I press "Try Ubuntu" here I can't get to Unity, I get to this window again.
So I attached logs for this case too (see comments 17-31).

My test results show that usable vga adapter' options are:
* -vga std
* -vga vmware

But previous versions of Ubuntu boot almost normally with default VGA adapter (no "-vga" option in KVM launch command).

For example "usb-creator-gtk" on disk test stage does not have "-vga" command line argument (for 15.04 live USB it uses "kvm -m 512 -hda /dev/sdc"). Users like this program, but there is no option to customize VGA in it.

Bug exists in Ubuntu 15.04. Please fix it.
I unable to test Ubuntu 15.04 guest, created by usb-creator in Ubuntu 12.04.5 host.

I can boot 15.04 in QEMU to Unity only if I manually set "-vga std" or "-vga vmware".
But current version of usb-creator in Ubuntu 12.04 does not add this options.

I was having the same exact issue with 'qxl' & 'cirrus' driver on kvm guest. However, get resolved by changing the video to 'vga' on virt-manager.

Still looking for a fix for 'qxl' driver.?

Ubuntu 15.04 (vivid) reached end-of-life on February 4, 2016.
