download thermometer bar does not show fully

Bug Description

I was doing a daily image install of Vivid on 2 64-bit machines linked below. I tested the Ubuntu Software Center to see if it would download a random app properly. I chose GVIM to download. During the download process, the thermometer bar did not display. Instead, all that showed was a short yellow vertical line. The short yellow line did move from left to right, but it was not as visible as a full thermometer bar. Because I am familiar with the Software Center, I could see that the download was progressing, but it would be confusing for a new user of the Software Center. Here are the two machines I used:

It’s not clear what you mean by “thermometer bar”. If you meant a *progress bar*, then this is probably a duplicate of bug report 1420036.
