gnome-mplayer GUI in live session does not stay open and window does not appear in X

I have found this happens with several ways using gnome-mplayer try mounting a hard drive with an audio or video file in pcmanfm and open it with gnome-mplayer. Or open gnome-mplayer from the menu in lxde and try to launch an ogg file and it will close and window will disapper. I then tried launching gnome-mplayer from the command line to get output from shell and got ** (gnome-mplayer:5453): WARNING **: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.a11y.Bus was not provided by any .service files

It should be noted that I on my fully upgraded install of vivid I do not have the same problem only in live session.
