galculator does not take user input in paper mode when numlock is pressed

Bug Description

To reproduce open galculator from the menu in lxde. Press the numlock key on your keyboard. Then in the menu bar select view paper mode. Then try to type in 1337 and notice nothing displays. Then press numlock again to turn it off and try to type in 1337 again notice it appears on the display and continue to add +3.14 and hit enter and it displays 1340.14 which is the correct answer.

I expected galculator to open accept user input. Instead it did not when I have the numlight light on my keyboard.

For some reason in ubuntu mate with the mate desktop enviornment I can get this to work but last time I checked under lxde it was still broken so could this be an input method issue in the way lubuntu is setup by default? I have installed the lubuntu session and numlock works in papermode on ubuntu-mate but I will test once I get back to my desktop with just plain lubuntu and see if it is gone.
