Bug Description

I am using the daily build 20140802 of Xubuntu in a live session and cannot setup a wi-fi connection as I am told I do not have the authority. See attached screenshot of error.

If I log out and then back in again I can setup wifi without a problem.

I first saw this problem with 20140801 but did not report it.

As an afterthought - I'm not seeing this problem with Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Lubuntu or Ubuntu GNOME, only Xubuntu.

As of daily build 20140809, I'm seeing this an an intermittent bug.

Booting the same live USB several times will sometimes produce this bug and sometimes it won't.

Bug now seen in Ubuntu GNOME daily build 20140825 but no error message displayed. Logging out and back in again allows a wi-fi connection to be set-up

So the proper way to attempt to reproduce this bug is to get a live disk and see if the wifi works on the first try? I can try this on 14.10 beta 2 sometime today.

Marking this bug as "Incomplete" as no-one else has reported/confirmed the bug in over two months and I have not seen this bug for sometime. Certainly it hasn't been seen in any of the tests that I've done on Utopic's final images so far.

If anyone else sees the bug, please confirm so making the bug active again.
