ClamAV 0.98.1 is Outdated

Current version in 14.04 Trusty is 0.98.1, ClamAV recommends 0.98.3:

Ubuntu is an awesome project!
Many Thanks to All who do the work.
But,
Ubuntu by itself does not fill all of my needs.
So, I am left to install, "other", software to make it my own.
I am afraid that I have found that I do indeed need a capable antivirus package running in real time.

Any suggestions on how to upgrade Clam, or maybe another form of antivirus suited to Trusty?
