Bug Description
I've been testing Ubuntu GNOME Alpha 1 candidates and rather than displaying text you just see a long string of rectangles.
I would normally not report a problem like this at "alpha" stage but I think it may be loosely related to bug #1260473 and bug #1262824 in that it may be gtk related.
You can however display the text of the test by pressing Esc if you wait until the test is in progress.
I'll follow up ASAP with some pictures.
