Bug Description

Just tried the latest image (123) and noticed that message and call items are not showing up in the messaging indicator.

Steps to reproduce:
* From another phone send a message to the target device
* The message should be already visible on the messaging indicator, but it is not.

Alternative test:
* From another phone, call the target device and hangup without answering
* The missed call should be already visible on the messaging indicator, but it is not.

In the case it were a build dependency, then we do have a problem

From the build logs here:

for building, 12.10.6phablet1bzr362raring0daily13.05.02.1ubuntu.unity.next-0ubuntu1 is used instread of 13.10.0phablet1

As an experiment, I built in ppa:phablet-team and now for

I see:

-- found messaging-menu, version 12.10.5

If it is really needed the build system should fail the build if it doesn't meet it's build deps.

After installing the package here I can confirm it is working.

It shouldn't fail because I was asked to make phone-app build also on desktop, so I made the messaging-menu conditional to its availability.
