Bug Description

I did the test "Install (entire disk) in Ubuntu Desktop amd64+mac for Raring Daily". When installation completed I pressed restart button. After this action appears a colorful window with lines of characters and symbols. It should not be. But system restarted and worked without visible problems.

this happens randomly on nearly all installs, i assume it's a duplicate, i will look for the older bug.

Thanks for the explanation! Do you mean the bug can't be eliminated? I will be appreciative if you specify a number of the oldest bug.

This is likely specific to the video card in your system and is a bug with the video driver for that device.

Anastasia Filatova, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
