Here's /var/log/syslog, as requested by the bug reporting guidelines. /var/log/partman does not exist.

I'm assuming the crash is reproducible, since I just tried to start the installer again, and after that the wireless connection dialog appeared again. That seemed odd to me since I am already connected wirelessly and online.

When I gave it my password and said to ignore the certificate warning, Ubiquity crashed again. When I tried a third time and chose "Cancel" on the wireless connection dialog which then came up, the installer started successfully and no crash occurred. So, I guess that's the workaround.

I had the same problem with a Live session with persistance. The first boot was all right, but during the second boot, as the system remembers wifi settings from previous session, it prompt for the password before the ubiquity screen appears. As I clicked to "ignore certificate" (I assume I and Cristopher are using the same authentication method) ubiquity crashed.

Still here on Quantal Final.
I think this is a serios bug (if not, is just because this encryption methos isn't so common). I can't actually connect to the wireless if persistance is enabled, as it will save the wireless preference on next boot and the system became unusable.

Found this bug on yakkety. Ubiquity crashes everytime I try to launch it from the liveUSB, from the "live" session.
On the contrary, selecting "install" instead of "try ubuntu" works without problems.
